What a great time to be a fan of The National. First we get a five star record, and then expanded version of it with a full EP’s worth of unreleased material. Throw in some soundtrack cuts on top of it and it’s been a busy, busy year. The latest bonus track is from the upcoming soundtrack to the video game Portal 2. Seem like an odd fit? You need only to look back at all of the reviews to see how many times the word “cinematic” was used in describing the Brooklyn via Cincinnati band.
