On the Phone with… Laura Marling

First things first: Laura Marling is amazing.  Nothing short.  Three albums, a stint in Noah & the Whale and helping to launch the career of Mumford & Sons. Ryan Adams scrapped an entire record when he heard what Marling was doing.  He knew the bar had been reset.

All this before she turned 21.

One day, not long ago, Laura Marling was driving through America on a European cell phone.  So, while the reception would have already been sketchy, the whole deal was only amplified even more by the poor reception.  We try to keep these interviews as unedited as possible, but this one had to be chopped.  Still, what’s left is charming, interesting, and informative.  And she does a good job, too.
